I can't give you any stars or even a critique because other people made this.
Are you trying to market the game? Or bringing attention to the kickstarter project?

Maybe you could make a fan response to this video. Try putting your own spin or animation style on it.

This is MUCH better than that old MADtv sketch with Will Sasso. I love the character style and of course the copious amounts of blood and violence!

An amusing flash

This was a great idea and made me laugh but I do have a few critiques. First I know the characters were only on the screen for a fraction of a second but some movement would have been nice. Second (this is to Francine) don't be afraid to belt out those lyrics. There were points in the song where it slips out of singing into talking. Listen to Billy Joel sing and follow his lead. Be passionate about these great games.
Other than those to small issues this was a great flash, keep up the good work.

And as an aside for some of you young-ins. The original of this song is "We Didn't Start the Fire" by the above mentioned Billy Joel. I know it was released in 1989 so it might be older than some of you *cough* YummyGrounds *cough*

This was good FBF

The animation was well done. The only thing I saw to rework was the scene with the squirrel. The flames were a little choppy and his movements should be a little more sporadic. You know how squirrels dart from place to place in a zigzag fashion, maybe a little more of that?
The story was good, I love the Nymphs response to the tree "cheating" on her. Heh!
I look forward to seeing more of your work, and good luck in school.

thanks! super helpful!
and thanks for the good luck, I already graduated last summer and have a flash developing job. and hopefully I will be able to animate my own stories soon.

and yeah I completely agree the last scene is the one that needs the most work, that's the scene that I had to pump out and ran out of time spending every minute I had working on it til it was due.

thanks again for your review I really appreciate ones like yours that are constructive opinions :)

Oh Noes, I wonder whos going to get the sarcasm?

If only the so called flash crews would watch this.... Oh well they can't understand critiques anyway.
Good job putting every bad cliche that gives flash movies and games a bad name.
Lack of plot...BAD, Atrocious spelling....BAD, Dialog out of a kindergarten book...BAD, You get the point people, now stop doing it.
The only reason I didn't give you a full ten stars is that in using all the bad examples you forgot to give us a good example at the end. Just a quick well rendered, well animated three or four second piece.
Great parody man, can't wait for some more!

This WAS a good comic book in the eighties.

Normal man was a comic from the eighties. This was the same premise characters and sequence from one of the issues. Unfortunately the art style was missing and the animation was not fluidly timed. If you are going to adept an existing work please give credit to the original artist and try to stay with an art style complementary to theirs.
My suggestions are to work on your figure drawing and backgrounds. Take a sketchbook out to the park and just draw what you see. To time the animation properly try taking a stopwatch and see how long it takes you to throw something, walk, run, react etc. this will help your animation flow. Good work for someone your age. I've seen worse submissions by people in their late teens early twenties. You have talent and I hope to see more from you.

jackjackflash responds:

I will not give credit to this comic book because i am only 12 and had no idea it existed. Now if you'll exuse me i have to go to school

Thank you for the best Passover gift ever.

Dude you rock. This was the best Pilz-E since Medicated Baby Heads. I want to take another trip back to Israel just to hunt down those matzos.
My Rabi got a kick out of this. He even logged onto NG to see the rest of the flashes and the insane/unwarrented hatred in some of these reviews. He then gave me a speach about how everyone is racist in their own way and the most racist people are the ones who can't joke about it, just overreact. Some of these people make me want to go Hebrew Hammer on the CL/LL/GL groups.
Betcha didn't know all we Jewish babies are born with a Kracker Hammer.
Keep up the good work. Any press is good press right?
PS for anyone bitching about tweens. Most of the flash on this site is tween, I have done FbF ani's for Motion Pics and would much rather see an artist tween then have his wrist lock up from drawing 30FPS.
The complaints seem to be from people with little artistic talent anyway sooooo...
Keep Pilz-e I love that whacked out doped up little fuzz-ball.

WooooooP

Happy Birthday!!!!
I can’t believe you got us all the best present in the world ( A new Blockhead) and all I got you is this lousy review.....and tong. Tong tong tong tong tong TONG!!!!
Really you don’t need any help from us you are the Flash master... great graphics, sound, humor... I bow before you and am making Feb 22 BLOCKDAY. No one should go to work or school today just ruminate on Blockhead.....hmm shinny thing...... OK I go now

The-Swain responds:

I'm surprised you guys like it so much, to be honest...after a week and a half of straight work with little sleep, I can't stand to look at it anymore :D

gimme more

Another 5. I expect nothing less from the KATY. Keep up the excellent work

um...

I like the intent of this flash but the story...I had a dream, lets go kick alien ass.... has been way overdone.
The previous reviewer is right human craniums are cylindrical not perfect spheres. the eyes were way too close together(try spacing the eyes out a little more.)
The walk cycle you used is flawed. It looked like they were skipping and the right leg just floated. Pick up the Animators Survival Kit. It's a great book you can get at your local library and is a must for any animator. You show promise just keep working on the basics and you will be alright.

Astralimits responds:

If you saw the previous episodes then you would understand the story...
